Minecraft Dungeons Down: Server problems confirmed by Mojang

Earlier today Minecraft Realms underwent a short period of server maintenance.

Players were given plenty of heads up from the Mojang Status twitter account, who previously told followers:

"Minecraft Realms: Realms will be down for maintenance starting 6/2/2020 0700 EST. Thank you for your patience & understanding"

But at the time of writing this should have finished roughly three hours ago.

As it stands, the game is back online, but experiencing some connection troubles.

The community have been quick to notice, obviously sending questions and angry tweets the way of Mojang.

Thankfully, the developer is aware of the situation and told users in the last hour:

"Minecraft Realms: Players are running into issues connecting to Realms. The team is working to mitigate the issue as we speak and we appreciate your patience."

For the time being though, it's not entirely clear what the problem is, or how far and wide it is impacting the player base, which consists of PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch players.

For the time being, the best thing players can do is channel the spirit of Shaun Riley of Shaun of the Dead.

So have a cup of tea and wait for this whole thing to blow over.

We'll be sure to update the page as more information becomes available, but right now, there's very little else to go on from Mojang's side.

More to follow.
