MultiVersus Dataminer Has Found Some Of Marvin The Martian’s Moveset

A MultiVersus dataminer has discovered most of Marvin the Martian's moveset through his sound effects.

It's no secret that most of MultiVersus' upcoming characters are known by now thanks to datamines. Although Black Adam and Stripe coming so soon came as a surprise and there have been mixups along the way like the removal of Gandalf and all Lord of the Rings references, we generally know who's coming next and roughly when they'll be appearing.

An example of this is that we've known for some time that Marvin the Martian will be the next Looney Tunes character to come to the game, owing to the fact that he has a ton of voicelines reacting to other fighters, a sign that he's nearly finished development. Although dataminers have yet to find his model or anything close to that, we can reasonably assume some of his moveset thanks to sound and visual effects found MultiVersus dataminer AisulMV.

AisulMV said, "Marvin will have a Bubble Gun, which can shoot Small and Large bubbles, some sort of Flag which is a chargeable attack, a remote, and more as a part of his moveset. There is also more sfx for weapons codenamed Rifle and Blaster". AisulMv then shared Marvin the Martian's attack sound effects, which clearly indicate the bubble gun, flag, and several blaster shots as part of his moveset.

Although picking out references is a lot harder since we don't have visuals to go off of, Looney Tunes fans will likely know that the Bubble Gun seems to be a direct reference to Back in Action, where Marvin is first seen using it. The flag and blaster seem like typical Marvin fare rather than specific callbacks.

Interestingly, AisulMV points out that one of the sound effects is for a "wall climb" move. Whether this just means Marvin has a specific animation for when he jumps off of a wall, or if it's a specific recovery move that lets him climb and hang onto edges is unclear, but it would let him stand out from the roster.
