Well, it has all come down to this. This is the final set of traditional missions in Neon White. And with it comes a new tool: The Book of Life. This new tool adds the ability to snap to an enemy if they are visible. You heard that right, you basically have the ability to teleport. And with that ability comes some intense levels.

Given that this is the last standard mission, it should come as no surprise that it will contain some of the more difficult-to-achieve Ace medals in the game. Thankfully, the extraordinarily helpful shortcuts are still present here. And, of course, we have compiled them all here for your pleasure. With this guide, you should be able to ace this mission like all the missions that came before it!

Spree

This shortcut comes right at the end of the stage. Instead of ricocheting off of the yellow demon, and running straight down the central hallway, you are going to bounce to the right.

Discard your handgun to get over the rubble wall, and you will see a procession of demonic heads. Use the Book of Life to zip through them, and they will fling you directly into the stage's exit. This tidy little shortcut will absolutely cut seconds off of your completion time.

Breakthrough

After using the shotgun to burst through the trapdoor at the beginning of the stage, you are going to zip to a treasure chest that contains an assault rifle. Off of the bounce you get from the chest, sail through one of the windows on your left.

Now, use the Book of Life to rip through the demonic head, then discard the assault rifle to bomb jump over the ledge. This shortcut will almost assure that Ace medal. You're welcome!

Glide

After the canal section you encounter fairly early in the stage, you will slam down through a trapdoor. In the next area, you will get an assault rifle card. Don't blow up the red door! instead, you are going to perform a bomb jump and hop over it. This should put you in view of the treasure chest. Teleport to it using the Book of Life. From there, just continue the stage as you normally would. This is a pretty sizable skip and will help you grab that Ace medal pretty easily.

Closer

After you slam through the red trapdoor and teleport to the red barrel, you will hop up into an area with a blue demon and a red door. Ignore the door. You are going to use the Book of Life to sling past the blue demon on your left. Then, use the sniper rifle's discard ability to dash further and get a glimpse of the next blue demon hiding behind the wall to your right.

Use the Book of Life to blow through it; then use the sniper rifle you got from it to dash to the three demonic heads. Now, speed away on the canal (just ignore the demons) and continue the stage as you normally would. Phew. This shortcut is huge. It is another one of those that essentially guarantees the Ace medal if you complete the stage.

Hike

This is another extraordinarily helpful shortcut. At the beginning of the stage, you will zip through the first yellow demon. Now, instead of using that handgun to hop up onto the next ledge, switch back to the Book of Life, jump to the right, and you will be able to catch a glimpse of another yellow demon. Snap to them with the Book of Life; then proceed as you normally would until you reach the lesser demon.

Use the Book of Life to snap to that demon and ricochet to the left. Now, use the handgun you saved to get another hop. You want to curve to the left, and you should be able to catch a glimpse of the red barrels in the distance that are behind a glass wall. Teleport to them using the Book of Life, and continue the stage as you normally would. This is a massive shortcut.

Switch

Welcome to what can only be described as the most sadistic Ace medal in the game. But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Let's start with the shortcut. After you burst through the first set of red doors, and teleport to the landmine demon on the ceiling, you will be propelled through an open arch where you will get the rocket launcher.

Now, before you use the zipline ability, you need to fire a rocket through the center arch and at the red door in the distance. This shot is a lot easier to make when you are higher up, so try to teleport to that landmine demon quickly to carry your momentum forward and get more airtime. Once you have successfully struck the red door with the rocket, use the SMG's stomp ability to break through the trap door.

Then, in the next area, grab the handgun and discard it to hop up to the next ledge. From there you will see a balloon demon behind where the door used to be. Use the Book of Life to zap straight to them and finish the stage as you normally would. This shortcut is a pretty solid one, cutting out five seconds or so. However, it also requires a reasonable amount of dexterity, so don't be surprised if you have to repeat it quite a few times.

It is important to note that this stage's Ace medal is still tough to acquire, even with this shortcut. In fact, it almost feels like it would be impossible to achieve without it (though we are sure there is some absurd speed-running tech who would prove us wrong). So, prepare to repeat this stage quite a few times. Good luck. We believe in you.

Access

You will encounter a section with a demonic head that has a rocket launcher hovering above them. Take the head out, but don't use the zipline ability of the rocket launcher. Instead, scale the building using rocket jumps, then fire the final rocket at the red door.

Now, because you destroyed the red door with the rocket launcher, you will be able to hold onto the sniper rifle in the treasure chest. When you get into the next section that has another red door, discard the sniper rifle and burst through it. Just like that, you will have saved a dozen seconds or so.

Congregation

For this shortcut, you are going to want to hold onto all your handguns. So, after you grab the first one, take out the demon on the left, and platform along the left side. Then, after you grab the second handgun, hop toward the red barrel, and shoot it when you are as close as possible.

You will be shot up into the air, Then use your handgun discards to hop up to the ledge on your left (the ledge in question has a golden vine lining the edge). This is another substantial shortcut.

Sequence

This shortcut hangs on you being able to hold onto the handgun from the beginning of the stage. So, once you get that handgun, don't discard it for the double jump (obviously). Instead, you are going to want to jump to the left; from there you will be able to snap to the tripwire demon with your Book of Life.

Now, complete the stage as normal, but once you encounter the red door with the mimic in front of it, shoot the mimic with your handgun. This stage has pretty tight times, but it is also relatively short. If you want that Ace medal, this shortcut should put you well on your way toward it!

Marathon

This is a very, very long level. However, it does have a pretty nice time skip partway through. When you reach the rocket launcher section of the stage, don't zipline up the first wall. Instead, rocket jump your way up it. You should be able to make it in three rockets. Now, once you are up on the platform, take out the balloon demon to grab a second rocket launcher. Use one of them to zipline your way as far up the giant wall to your right as possible. Finally, rocket jump the remainder of the wall.

This shortcut is a big time-saver, but given how long this level is, it won't be able to carry you. One helpful hint for grabbing the Ace medal in this stage is to roll the dice whenever you mess up. There are tripwire demons positioned in rings above you, and if you zip to them using the Book of Life you will often survive (though sometimes you will be snagged by the tripwire). If you are falling anyway, take a chance, and you may actually end up turning a bad situation into a nifty shortcut.
