Batman and Suicide Squad fans should mark August 22 in the diary, because two new games are about to be revealed.
It’s all part of the DC FanDome event, which features a host of panels, announcements and trailers for various DC projects.
Taking place on August 22, the event is described as the “ultimate 24-hour experience for the world’s greatest fans is almost here”.
Gaming fans should tune in at 6.25pm BST UK time for the first game reveal by Warner Bros. Montreal.
“Gamers! You won’t want to miss this first look at an exciting new game, and Q&A with its developers.”
It’s believed Warner Bros Montreal will unveil a new game called Batman: Gotham Knights.
The long-rumoured new Batman game will reportedly involve the Court of Owls story arc, and will feature multiple playable characters.
Next up is the Rocksteady game reveal for something currently known as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
As a reminder, Rocksteady is the studio responsible for the excellent Arkham trilogy of games.
“Will Arnett hosts the highly anticipated video game reveal from Rocksteady Studios, creators of the Batman: Arkham franchise.”
The new Rocksteady game – titled Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League – will be revealed at 1.10am BST on August 23.
As a Suicide Squad game, fans expect multiple playable characters, including Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and El Diablo.
There are even rumours that a brand new game in the Injustice series will be announced during the course of the event.
Roger Craig Smith, who played Batman in Arkham Origins, hinted at the release of a new Batman game last year.
The Arkham Origins voice actor previously tweeted: “Super bummed to not be working on anything that I can’t tweet about right now because I can’t violate an NDA for something that I assure you does not exist.
“And isn’t a video game.”
His publicist Gary Miereanu would later reply: “Your publicist thanks you, and promises we’ll let the cat out of the bag reasonably soon.”
