The latest leak from the set of the upcoming Fallout show reveals vaults and power armor. The news comes from a user on Twitter who claims to have been sent some pictures that were taken at the filming location. The user in question, HunterWorldv2, promptly posted these to the social media platform.
What appears to be a vault can clearly be seen in the pictures along with a variety of different props and a suit of power armor. Someone wearing a vault jumpsuit can also be seen holding a cup of tea or coffee while taking a break from the filming.
This comes in the wake of a leak earlier this week that revealed the existence of Super Duper Mart as a location for the show. The set which featured a run-down exterior and a bunch of burnt out vehicles was apparently built on Staten Island, New York where the show is currently being filmed. Fans of the Fallout franchise have taken all of this to mean that at least part of the plot will be unfolding in the Capital Wastelands, given that New York City would make a good stand-in for Washington, DC.
The production company behind the upcoming Fallout show, Amazon Studios, pointed out that an adaptation of this beloved franchise would be coming to the small screen back in July, 2020. Amazon later announced that filming would be in collaboration with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy at Kilter Films. "Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends,” Kilter Films noted. “So, we're incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”
Director and Executive Producer at Bethesda Todd Howard said that "over the last decade, we looked at many ways to bring Fallout to the screen, but it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right. We're enormous fans of their work and couldn't be more excited to work with them and Amazon Studios.”
