It’s gotten to the point where games in the JRPG genre are aiming to contain as many elements and aspects as possible. Ni No Kuni 2 expands significantly on the world of its predecessor with more areas to explore, a bigger adventure, more quests, and far more collectibles.

There are a fair number of different types of items to find from weapons and gifts to creatures. If you’re looking to find more of that third option, you’ll need to look for Higgledy Stones.

What Are Higgledy Stones?

Throughout your journey, you’ll meet and recruit a variety of creatures known as Higgledies. They support you in combat and help fight back against the monsters you’re guaranteed to encounter.

There are over 100 different kinds of Higgledies, but a fair number of them can only be recruited from Higgledy Stones scattered throughout the world. Once you find a stone, the Higgledy within will request a specific item which you must deliver in order to get them to join your team. Here's where to find them.

All Higgledy Stones In Evermore

• Stone #1: This stone is located in the Jumblewoods. After you enter, take the path right until you reach a tree. Follow the path right of the tree, and you’ll see the stone against some rocks. It will ask for Rugged Fur.
• Stone #2: In the Jumblewoods, head to the clearing in the south of the map. Head to the south wall to find the stone which will ask for a Slumbergull Feather.
• Stone #3: Go to the Tightfit Cavern. Upon entering, immediately stick to the left side of the wall to find the stone. It will require some Hardwearing Wool.

All Higgledy Stones In The Canyon

• Stone #1: In Cloudcoil Canyon, once you reach the bridge leading towards the Slitherslide Trail, you’ll find the stone directly in your path. It will ask for a Munchy Nut.
• Stone #2: At the end of the twisting path of Sidewinder Gorge, take a left and jump on the whirlwind to reach the higher level. Hug the left side of the wall until you see a series of whirlwinds. Jump up them to reach a plateau with the stone at the far side. It will ask for a Prism Pepper.
• Stone #3: Go to the Wyvern’s Den. Follow the tunnel and then turn right at the first junction to find the stone. Give it a Single Cream.

All Higgledy Stones In The Rolling Hills

• Stone #1: Once you have the Bridge Spell, head into Crosswater Cavern. Take the right path, go straight, and take another right. Follow that path a bit and look to the right to find the stone in an alcove. It will want Snow-White Thread.
• Stone #2: Inside the Old Well, head for the Upstream Tunnels. Take a and then another right towards a dead-end where the stone will be. It will ask for Blossomwheat.
• Stone #3: When you’re heading towards the Downstream Tunnels in the Old Well, keep going straight and take a right at the dead-end to find the stone. It requires a Forked Tail Bone.
• Stone #4: Go to the Tumbledown Shrine. Take a right and hug the wall past a circular chamber filled with enemies. Once you reach the junction, turn left, and then take a right to find the stone at the back of a chamber. It wants a Clear Prism.

All Higgledy Stones In The Northern Islands

• Stone #1: Head for the Crooked Cavern and follow the tunnel ahead of you. Keep going until you hit a wall and go right then take the tunnel past the enemies. Follow it then turn right at the next junction and you find the stone in an alcove. It will require a Glacier Crystal Cluster.

All Higgledy Stones In The Calmlands

• Stone #1: Enter the Shiverwood Shrine. Go straight then take and follow the path on the left. Keep going then take a right at the junction to reach the stone against a far wall. You’ll need to give it a Twisty Bone.
• Stone #2: In the Forest Of Niall, go center clearing in the path north of the Hard Woods. The stone will be against a tree and ask for a Nightmare Prism.
• Stone #3: Head for the entrance to the Dice Factory in the Forest Of Niall. The stone will be to the right of it and require Gunkshrooms.
• Stone #4: After you get the Rejuvenate Spell, cast it on the ruins on the Sundown Coast and enter the Unsung Shrine. Take the right path and then take the left path at the junction. Follow it to find the stone at the end of the chamber which will need Heavenly Wonderwater.
• Stone #5: Make your way to Death’s Door, and follow the tunnel. Take a left once you reach the first chamber to find the stone. It will ask for a Knight’s Brocade.
• Stone #6: Go to the Hidey-Hole, and you’ll find the stone against the right wall. It wants a Sackcloth.

All Higgledy Stones On Makronos Island

• Stone #1: Enter the Dampshoe Cave, take the first left, and follow it to the junction. Take another left to reach the stone in a chamber. It requires Coral Huebloom.
• Stone #2: Go into the Seaspray Tunnel, and you’ll find the stone on the right asking for some Briar Coral.
• Stone #3: In the Abyss at 1000 Fathoms Deep, at the top of the south portion of the map, ride the stream to a coral platform. Jump off to the left and then straight to reach the stone which wants a Bright Button.
• Stone #4: In the Abyss at 3000 Fathoms Deep, cast the Waterslide Spell on the shell at the south end of the map. Ride the stream to reach the stone which asks for a Bighorn Shell.

All Higgledy Stones In The Desert

• Stone #1: Enter the Bleachbone Shrine, take a left and then another left at the junction. Turn left at the end of the path to find the stone which wants a Fluffy Cloth.
• Stone #2: Cast the Rejuvenate Spell on the ruins near the Slakethirst Oasis and enter the Sunshade Shrine. Go straight then turn left until you reach a junction and take a right. Keep going and take another right towards a chamber to find the stone in an alcove on the right side. It wants some Sunnysmile Cotton.

All Higgledy Stones In Broadleaf

• Stone #1: Cast the Rejuvenate Spell on the ruins on the coast near the Powder Keg Cavern. This will let you enter the Shrine That Time Forgot. Follow the path and keep going straight through the chamber. You’ll find the stone at the end of the next chamber asking for a Bolt Eagle Feather.
• Stone #2: Head for the Sublime Shrine, enter, take the right path. Then, turn left, go straight, take a right, and another right to find the stone at the end. You’ll need to give it some Coarse-Grained Lumber.
• Stone #3: Enter the Fathomless Forest and go straight along the path. Keep following the path past the area in the path and stay to the right to reach the stone. It wants Fine Fur.
• Stone #4: When you reach Dynafloor No. 2, make your way to the second circular chamber up from the bottom of the map. Activated the panel to change the red platform positions and head left. Continue until you reach a blue terminal and change the blue platform positions. Go left from the terminal then take an immediate right to find the stone on a metal platform against the wall. It will ask for some Scented Sap.
• Stone #5: When you reach Dynafloor No. 3, head to the terminal and change the blue platforms. Go right to the next terminal and change the red platforms. Turn around and take the path away from that terminal to reach the stone. It requires Whole Milk.

All Higgledy Stones In The Frost Planes

• Stone #1: Cast the Rejuvenate Spell on the ruins in the Permafrost Plains and enter the Ice House. Just keep following the path straight, and it will lead you to the stone that wants a Sturdy Bone.
• Stone #2: Go into the Freezybones Cave, and follow the path ahead of you. Once you reach the chamber, the stone will be on the left asking for an Enigma Prism.
