While it was originally announced that Djeeta was officially coming to Granblue Fantasy: Versus on April 7th, XSEED Games has revealed that Soriz will be joining the lineup alongside her. The caveat is that the characters will be added to the PlayStation 4 version of the game first – on April 7th – with the PC version adding the duo almost a week later, on April 13th.
Djeeta and Soriz will be the second set of DLC characters as part of the game’s first season of the Character Pass Set, with Beezlebub (who is also available to players who beat the RPG story mode) and Narmaya having been added to the game first, as well as Zooey, who will round out the first season later this year. No release date has been announced for Zooey, but a character trailer is expected to debut on April 17th, with an official release date likely happening around the same time.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus’ modest initial launch roster left many players wanting more in the way of variety, so the steady stream of DLC characters has been welcomed with open arms by the game’s community – even though PC players have had to wait longer than their console-playing counterparts. No season two details have been revealed yet, but if the success of the first Character Pass Set is any indication, Granblue Fantasy: Versus has an opportunity to be a solid player within the competitive fighting genre for a good, long while.
