The next wave of free PS5 and PlayStation 4 games will be officially unveiled on December 29 as part of Sony regular PlayStation Plus reveal cycle.

These will be the first for gamers to enjoy as part of their subscription during 2022, and there have already been several leaks.

According to the most recent information, a total of three games will be available to claim next month.

And the good news is that we’ll know exactly what has made the cut in less than 24-hours time.

Sony will reveal its official pick on Wednesday, December 29, less than a week before all the new games are released.

Like most months, Sony is expected to drop the announcement at around 4:30pm GMT via its PlayStation Blog site.

The official list of free PS Plus games will reportedly include Persona 5 Strikers, Dirt 5 and Deep Rock Galactic.

The Persona 5 spinoff is viewed as a cross between the Atlus role-playing game and Dynasty Warriors, featuring the latter’s hack and slash gameplay.

Meanwhile, Dirt 5 will be playable on PlayStation 4 and PS5, with the rally racing game featuring multiple race styles and arcade gameplay.

The third and final PlayStation Plus game is Deep Rock Galactic, a co-op shooter in which a host of badass space Dwarves battle alien invaders.

“Work together as a team to dig, explore, and fight your way through a massive cave system filled with hordes of deadly enemies and valuable resources.

“You will need to rely on your teammates if you want to survive the most hostile cave systems in the galaxy!”

The game has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam, where fans praise its intuitive communication system and overall variety.

And as Deep Rock Galactic is not currently available on the PlayStation Store, this will make for a pretty strong debut on PS4 and PS5 consoles.

PlayStation share the best of PS Plus

It should also be noted that these games will be replacing the following games on January 4, meaning you have less than a week to claim them:
