Spotlight Hour Date And Time
The upcoming Spotlight Hour will take place on October 25 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. This is a relatively short window of time, so make sure that you are prepared and logging in punctually to take advantage of the bonuses being offered.
Spotlight Hour Pokemon
This week's Spotlight Hour will be showcasing Shuppet, the Generation III Ghost-type Pokemon. This Pokemon can be evolved into its final evolution, Banette, requiring 50 Shuppet Candy.
Make sure that you are logging in to take advantage of Shuppet's increased spawn rate to ensure that you obtain enough Candy to perform this evolution.
Additionally, with Mega Banette being brought to the game, this is a great opportunity to stock up on Shuppet Candy and catch a Shuppet with desirable stats.

As the main bonus of a Spotlight Hour, you can expect a large increase in Shuppet's spawn rate during this one-hour window. You can further increase this Pokemon's spawn rate through the use of Incense or PokeStop Lures.
There will be a chance of encountering this Pokemon's Shiny variation during its Spotlight Hour, so the use of these items will further the probability of you encountering this rare variant. Similar to Community Day Events, the increased spawn rate of this Pokemon will give you decent odds of finding and catching a Shiny Shuppet, so make sure that you prepare accordingly.
*How To Prepare For Spotlight Hours
Being such a short window of time, it's important to make sure that you are prepared for this event prior to its commencement. With the massive increase in the featured Pokemon's spawn rate, make sure you are stocked up on PokeBalls.
You will also want to ensure that you have sufficient Pokemon Storage before this event begins. This will allow you to rapidly catch the featured Pokemon without having to worry about Transferring others to make space. You can also increase your Pokemon Storage by 50 by purchasing a Pokemon Storage Upgrade at the in-game shop for 200 PokeCoins.
If possible, use the Lucky Egg item during this event. This will increase the XP that you earn by an additional 50 percent. This, paired with the event's 2x evolution XP bonus, will give you the opportunity to obtain a significant amount of XP in a short amount of time.
Lastly, stock up on Pokemon that can be evolved prior to this event. This will give you the chance to evolve several Pokemon during this short window, fully taking advantage of the double evolution XP bonus that is active.
