August 2 will see Sony announce its new selection of PS4 games for the PlayStation Now streaming service.
And on August 3, these new titles will be available to play, with at least two existing titles being removed from the PS Now library.
It’s not clear how many titles will be revealed today, but it’s a safe bet that there will be at least three new games announced.
One of these will be an indie title, while the others could be sourced from any first or third-party partner.
But whatever games are revealed, it’s going to be hard to beat July’s game announcements.
Last month saw Sony run wild, offering up Red Dead Redemption 2, Nioh 2, and Judgment as the headliners.
But that wasn’t enough, with the tech giant also unveiling God of War as a surprise addition, alongside Moving Out, Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, and Nascar Heat 5.
The sheer volume is something to note, but having so many AAA games included in the list makes it that more special.
The only downside is that Red Dead Redemption 2 is only available to play via the PS4 and PS5 consoles.
This means that anyone using a PC will be unable to stream the game, leaving them to choose between the other six titles.
And it’s almost impossible to say exactly what will be announced following such a bumper crop of games.
August could be a quiet month, with Sony focusing more on indie games and less on the big unveilings.
However, with game streaming becoming a much more competitive vertical, Sony might choose to keep things as enticing as possible for current subscribers.
Playstation Now offers ‘hundreds of games on demand’
And unlike last month, there have been no sizable leaks, meaning we will have to wait until later today to find out what is being planned.
The new reveal is expected to be made before 5pm BST and will be shared through a blog post, like how news is revealed for the PlayStation Plus subscription.
These new games will be made available to play on August 3, probably around the same time as the monthly PlayStation Store refresh.
And we also know that at least two games will be disappearing from the lineup on the same day.
