After skipping last week’s PlayStation Showcase event, Sony will unveil the June 2023 PS Plus games at the traditional time. This means the next batch of free PS4 and PS5 games will be officially unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm BST UK time on May 31. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later on June 6. In the run up to the big reveal, fans have been attempting to predict the PlayStation Plus Essential line-up for June 2023. If the predictions are accurate, then it will be a bumper month for PS Plus subscribers.
In an entertaining thread over on Reddit, multiple PlayStation Plus subscribers believe Alan Wake Remastered will be given away for free in June.
With Alan Wake 2 given an October release date during last week’s PlayStation Showcase event, fans argue that now would be the perfect time to give away the original on PS Plus.
Another game that seems to be getting a lot of buzz on the predictions thread is Disco Elysium. The unique role-playing game launched to critical acclaim back in 2019. An expanded version would launch for consoles a couple of years later in 2021.
Roguelike action game Hades also receives multiple votes in the predictions thread, although it might just be wishful thinking.
Speaking of which, some subscribers are praying for Sekiro to make an appearance in the June PS Plus giveaway. The FromSoftware action game uses stealth elements and a parry system to create a challenging experience worthy of the FromSoftware name.

In terms of first-party games, The Last of Us Part 2 and Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart are the most likely candidates to join PS Plus in June.
While we await the Sony reveal, fans can download the May 2023 PS Plus Essential line-up, which is headlined by GRID Legends.
The Codemasters racing game is joined by medieval multiplayer game Chivalry 2, as well as downhill biking game Descenders.
Remember, you have until the morning of June 6 to download the May releases, so don’t delay.
