According to several online sources, PS5 stock will be available to buy starting very early on Tuesday, May 11.
Gamers hunting for a new PlayStation 5 have also been warned that staying up late might not guarantee a new console.
From what has been shared so far, Argos will be releasing new PS5 stock in the UK sometime after midnight on May 11.
But the big thing to note here is that this will be a regional restock, meaning that there won’t be one big shop to buy consoles from.
Instead, individual Argos stores, or regional hubs, will be deciding when to release its PS5 stock on Tuesday.
This means that while the next PS5 restock might start after midnight for some, others might have to wait until their local Argos hub updates its site listing.
More on the subject has been posted by the PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account, which has been known to share reliable information in the past and has been a solid source for gamers in 2021.
The most recent news reads: “We’ve been told by multiple insiders that Argos will restock tonight after midnight. As it’s a regional drop, we will tweet once the 1st region is live.
“For those who are new to Argos drops, a regional drop means, each city, or sometimes areas per city, drop at different times.
“So individual stores are the ones who decide when they want to go live for their local area, rather than the whole country being able to purchase at once.
“We’ve informed about the 11th of May for Argos since the 27th of April, thanks to those who help us behind the scenes.

“We’ve been backed by multiple news sources to be reliable too. We only tweet specific dates if we know for sure, otherwise it’s predictions.”
“We expected GAME to have the most stock, but seems to be Argos will have the biggest restock count yet, with around 20K consoles ready to go. GAME will be 8K, same for Amazon, Very & John Lewis.”
And from what has been shared so far this week, Argos will just be the start of a new wave of UK restocks.
Other stores like GAME, John Lewis, Very and Currys are also expected to offer PlayStation 5s during May.
There were hopes that Amazon UK would be leading the charge today but it appears that there has been a delay and that more PS5 stock from the digital giant won’t be going live until a little later this month.
Amazon UK could release its next PS5 shipment this week, however, it’s more likely that it will be made available to buy around May 18.
As usual, gamers will need to take these latest updates with a pinch of salt as none of it comes from official sources and there is always a chance of last-minute delays.
But from what has been shared so far, Argos will be one of the first UK retailers to drop PS5 stock during May.
The list currently includes John Lewis, GAME, Very and Currys, although more are expected to be added over the coming weeks.
