Last December, Riot Games‘ sister company Riot Forge announced Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, but not much has been revealed about it over the past year — until now.
Dropping a fresh trailer for fans of the League of Legends franchise, Riot Forge has now offered a closer look at what’s to come from the upcoming RPG. Based within the world of the massively-popular MOBA game, Ruined King will be set in two specific regions of Runeterra: a port town named Bilgewater and a cursed land known as the Shadow Isles. To defeat the mysterious enemy known as the Ruined King, players will party up with a roster of League of Legends‘ most beloved champions, including Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke.
Along with the trailer, Riot Forge also confirmed that the game will be coming to both PC and various console platforms, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, followed by an optimized version for next-gen consoles “soon thereafter.”
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is scheduled for release early 2021.
Elsewhere in gaming, Genshin Impact has been confirmed for the PlayStation 5.
