Unreal Engine 5 Is Out Now Alongside Playable Shooter, Lyra

We got a little taste of just what Unreal Engine 5 could do back when PlayStation announced The Matrix Awakens last year, but the engine has been in early access ever since. That came to an end today, as Epic Games launched Unreal Engine 5 alongside a playable shooter called Lyra. The shooter is pretty much intended to be a set of tools for budding game developers to use to create their own projects. You can actually play the game if you really want to though, you just need to sign in on the Epic website.

Next Tomb Raider Game To Be Developed On Unreal Engine 5

We've had plenty of announcements and rumors of developers working on new projects with Unreal Engine 5, but one of the most high-profile and concrete is probably Crystal Dynamics' recent announcement that it will be developing the next Tomb Raider on the engine. It was pretty much assumed that Crystal Dynamics would make another Tomb Raider game, although the announcement of the new engine does make you wonder just what's being planned for Lara Croft's next adventure.

Life Is Strange: True Colors Leads Xbox Game Pass' Newest Additions

Xbox Game Pass fans rejoice as April's batch of additions have been revealed and include a couple of big name titles to try out if you haven't already. The two biggest in the lineup are undoubtedly Life is Strange: True Colors and the newly released MLB The Show '22, although a bunch of EA games have also been added to the cloud. If you've been waiting to check of Life is Strange, you can now experience one of 2021's best games while it's on the service.

Abandoned Dev Says He Deleted Tweets Because The Concept Has Changed

We have another update from Abandoned developer Blue Box Studios and director Hasan Kahraman today, who reassures fans that the deletion of most of the tweets from the studio's Twitter account isn't because the game has been cancelled. In fact, Kahraman claims that it was done because the game's "concept has changed." It was also recently claimed that Blue Box is completely out of money and is hoping to fund Abandoned's development via the money raised by the release of Abandoned: Prologue.

Bad Boys 4 And Other Films On "Pause" Following Will Smith Oscar Slap

Some movie news to finish, and it's been reported that a lot of movies starring Will Smith are being put on hold after the actor's antics at the Oscars. Bad Boys 4 and Netflix's Fast and Loose were named as projects currently on hold, although it is reported that "a few other projects in pre-production" that include Smith are also on hold.
