It’s tough becoming a successful streamer these days. There are so many channels on Twitch that it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. Some streamers torture themselves, some perform seemingly impossible feats, and still others sell farts in jars (admittedly, you need to reach a certain level of success before you can sell a bunch of fart jars).
Thankfully, NateBosa didn’t need to do any of that. All he had to do was call in his mom.
In a recent stream, NateBosa wasn’t sure if his mother was home or not, so he called out to her. When she answered, he excitedly called her into his bedroom to see if she’d want to be live on stream. "Yeah, there’s just a camera and you pretend people are there," explained NateBosa. "That’s what I do."
We should point out here that NateBosa isn’t some big-time streamer with thousands upon thousands of viewers. At the time of this recording, he had a grand total of nine viewers. Still, both he and his mom seemed pretty impressed with the idea of nine people watching at home.
"Yeah I have nine people watching right now. Nine real human beings!" NateBosa said. "Can you believe that? Imagine if there were nine people in this room. That’d be mad people."
"Look, it’s like you’re hanging out with nine people and you don’t even have to leave your house!" NateBosa’s mom added.
The only time when NateBosa seemed even a little crestfallen was when he asked his mom how far she thinks the furthest viewer was watching from. When she guessed "Korea," he replied: "See she ALWAYS does that! The farthest place possible! Like, who DOES that?"
"Listen," mom countered, "I dream big for this kid!"
The heartwarming exchange soon went viral on TikTok with over 300,000 likes before being picked up by Dexerto and shared on Twitter, where the video gained 13.9 million views and was retweeted almost 22,000 times. The publication also noted how NateBosa's Twitch following went from just under 3,500 to 35,000. This kid is well on his way to Twitch stardom, and it’s all thanks to his mom.
