Vin Diesel Has Played "Thousands Of Hours" Of Ark: Survival Evolved And Even Reported Bugs

Ark 2 is in development, according to the trailer that was recently unveiled at The Game Awards. Vin Diesel was the guy to not only make the announcement but also starred in the five-minute trailer, saving a young girl from being eaten by a T-rex just before discovering some crazy futuristic technology.

Besides starring in Ark 2, Vin Diesel is also set to appear in the Ark animated series that was announced at the same time. Diesel won’t be alone, as there will be a bunch of big Hollywood names like Elliot Page, Karl Urban, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Russel Crow, and Michelle Yeoh taking part.

So Vin Diesel seems like he’s pretty well connected to Ark 2, but it goes way deeper than that. Not only is Vin Diesel involved with Ark 2’s development, but he’s also an avid Ark: Survival Evolved player with thousands of hours in the game.

According to PC Gamer, Diesel has “thousands of hours” logged in Ark: Survival Evolved. He’s even gotten involved with the game’s ongoing development, reporting bugs for Studio Wildcard to fix.

Studio Wildcard has even hired Vin Diesel as their “President of Creative Convergence.” Diesel will be executive producing Ark 2 along with the animated series, so he’s really involved with what’s going on at the studio.

“He understands the game intimately and is providing direct feedback to the development process,” says Studio Wildcard in their press release.

All we know about Ark 2 (besides the people who will be lending their likenesses/voices to the game) is that it will be more narrative-focused than the current mayhem you’ll experience in Ark: Survival Evolved, but it’ll still be a multiplayer game. Both Ark 2 and its companion animated series are tentatively set to release sometime in 2022.
