Xbox Live down reports are on the rise at the moment, with users reporting issues accessing their games and receiving a person who bought this needs to sign in error message. Independent outage monitor Down Detector UK has recorded a spike in Xbox Live down reports with this beginning around 3.30pm UK time. At the time of writing Down Detector UK has registered a peak of around 1,500 Xbox Live down reports.

While Down Detector stats claim that the issues affecting Xbox owners include gameplay and server connection problems.

As the reported Xbox Live service issues hit Xbox gamers took to Twitter to discuss the problems they were facing.

One tweeted: “Anyone else can’t open games on their Xbox atm?”

While another posted: “@XboxSupport You guys know xbox is down. Can’t play no games everytime I try and play it says the person who brought this needs to sign in. I’m literally the person who brought this on this profile.”

One added: “Seems a lot of people having issues playing games on @Xbox at the moment, is Game Pass down? Repeated requests for people to sign in to play. @xboxsupport @purexbox”.

And another wrote: “Looks like Xbox is down as you can’t play any games”.

Despite the large number of reported issues with Xbox Live the official Xbox Status page only says there is a limited issue with games and gaming affecting Halo MCC Insider.

While the Xbox Support Twitter is yet to comment on the reported issues gamers are experiencing right now.

However, they did retweet a post about the Halo issues which began 12 hours ago.

The Halo Support account tweeted: “We are working with partner teams as we continue investigating #HaloMCC matchmaking errors. We will share additional updates here when further improvements are made.”
