The season pass for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is currently on sale via the Xbox Store. If you’re looking to catch up on the Assassin’s Creed story ahead of the new 2020 game, rumored to be set in The Viking Age, now seems like an ideal time.
Normally retailing at $40 USD, Odyssey’s season pass is currently 50 percent off on the Xbox Store, knocking the price down to $20 USD. The sale will last until May 4.
Odyssey’s season pass includes all of the post-launch content for the 2018 action RPG. That’s the two (admittedly throwaway) Secrets of Greece side missions, as well as all of the episodes for the controversial Legacy of the First Blade and mythical The Fate of Atlantis DLC expansions. Legacy of the First Blade details how the story of Odyssey ultimately connects to Assassin’s Creed Origins while The Fate of Atlantis furthers the modern-day story with Layla.
It may not seem like a lot, but Odyssey’s season pass actually adds a hefty amount of content to the game. Though the two side missions in Secrets of Greece shouldn’t take you longer than a few hours, the three episodes of Legacy of the First Blade and three episodes of The Fate of Atlantis are huge story-driven expansions. Together, the two DLCs take about as long to complete as the main game’s campaign.
In GameSpot’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey review, Alessandro Fillari wrote, “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s ambition is admirable, which is reflected in its rich attention to detail for the era and its approach to handling the multi-faceted narrative with strong protagonists at the lead. While its large-scale campaign–clocking in at over 50 hours–can occasionally be tiresome, and some features don’t quite make the impact they should, Odyssey makes great strides in its massive and dynamic world, and it’s a joy to venture out and leave your mark on its ever-changing setting.”
