Retro-inspired 2D Action-RPG CrossCode, will have a “unique miniquest” for each platform when it comes to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, the game’s publisher Deck13 said in a Reddit AMA.
In an Ask Me Anything on the Nintendo Subreddit with representatives from developer Radical Fish Games and Deck13, Michael Hoss of Deck13, responded to a user’s question asking if it was true that the console ports would each have a unique quest.

“Each console (will) have a unique miniquest with a unique mini dungeon and a unique bossfight. Also the PC will get this, too,” Hoss wrote.
He further explained that platform holders give better support to games with exclusive content, but the miniquests are will share a connection, which will give the community a reason to come together. He said all the quests together will culminate in “something… else.”
Hoss also said that while updates and patches will be free, they are planning a large post-game DLC that will be paid. CrossCode was originally released on PC in September 2018 after launching on Steam Early Access. The game launches on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 on July 9 for $20 and as part of Xbox Game Pass.
