The release of Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion is fast approaching, with only a month left to finish off all the Triumphs and content that will be vaulted in November. It’s a good time to visit Xur yet again to grab some additional Exotics to help you wrap everything up. Head to Io, to the Giant Scar area to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering Hard Light. Hunters can pick up the Ophidia Spathe chest armor; for Titans, there’s the Mask of the Quiet One helmet; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Skull of Dire Ahamkara helmet. You’ve got until the weekly reset on October 6 to visit Xur and make the most of his deals.
Xur Location
Use the Giant’s Scar transmat zone on Io to get to Xur fast. Hop on your sparrow and head through the archway ahead, then turn toward the north end of the area. Hug the cliff wall on your left until you find a cave; inside, in the shadows, Xur awaits.
Xur Exotic Items
Hard Light, Xur’s weapon this week, has been a mainstay of the Crucible in recent seasons. It recently got nerfed, but it’s still a highly effective auto rifle for dropping enemies quickly–you can even get them around corners thanks to its intense ricochet. But if you’re not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don’t already own. He also has the Five of Swords challenge card, which lets you enable modifiers for Nightfall Strikes.

Hard Light (Auto Rifle)
Like many guns, Hard Light had its time in the Crucible spotlight, when it was used by just about everyone and got pretty annoying. Bungie has since nerfed the auto rifle, but it’s still an extremely good Exotic in a lot of situations, and you should add it to your collection if you haven’t. It’s a powerful gun to start with, and you can switch its elemental affinity on the fly, making it great for any PvE situation. In the Crucible, Hard Light can knock out other Guardians pretty quickly, and gets bonus damage when you ricochet its rounds off surfaces, giving lots of incentive to keep firing.
Ophidia Spathe (Hunter)
The upshot of Ophidia Spathe is pretty clear: It gives you a second throwing knife. In the right Hunter build, another knife can be pretty devastating, whether you’re in PvE or PvP. Ophidia Spathe is especially useful when you’re using the Way of a Thousand Cuts tree in the Gunslinger subclass, as using your knives to set enemies on fire recharges your abilities much more quickly.

Mask of the Quiet One (Titan)
Taking damage gets turned to your advantage when you’re wearing the Mask of the Quiet One. The helmet gives you ability energy as you take hits. If you’re critically wounded but manage to make a kill, your reward is maximum health. That can help you turn around a lot of bad situations, especially in the Crucible.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock)
If you’re a Warlock who likes Nova Bombs, you’ll get a lot of use out of the Skull of Dire Ahamkara. First, the helmet makes you tougher to kill as you’re casting your Super, which is great in the Crucible in particular. Next, netting kills with your bomb grants you additional Super energy, so you can cast it more often and wipe out more enemies.
