The PlayStation Store hasn’t slowed down with deals since its Spring Sale ended late last month. While you still have time to shop the Games Under $20 sale (which ends tomorrow), a new sale has arrived with discounts on more than 250 PS4 games. Dubbed the Hidden Gems sale, it lets you save big on AAA games and indies that PlayStation thinks you may have let pass you by. The sale includes Control, one of GameSpot’s favorite games of 2019, Journey to the Savage Planet, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition, and much more. You have until May 20 to grab what you want from the Hidden Gems sale, so you don’t have to make your selections right away.
We have to be honest: some of the games in the Hidden Gems sale don’t seem all that hidden. In addition to offering Remedy’s excellent action-adventure Control for $30, you can also save on the expansions for a little space adventure you may have heard of called Destiny 2. Forsaken is discounted to $15, while Shadowkeep is down to $21. Alternatively, you can grab the Destiny 2: Upgrade Edition–which comes with both major expansions–for $33.49.
Destiny fans may also like Journey to the Savage Planet, a hilarious first-person shooter that launched earlier this year and is on sale for $18. We gave the breezy FPS a 7/10 in our Journey to the Savage Planet review. In a huge change of pace, you can pick up the richly-detailed RPG Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition for $39.

Admittedly, the majority of the sale focuses on great indies, making it an excellent opportunity to check out some inventive experiences you may have overlooked. Fast-paced action-puzzle game Bloodroots, which released earlier this year, is down to $14. We gave the challenging western an 8/10 in our Bloodroots review. Meanwhile, fans of Metroidvanias can grab Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for $20, Dead Cells: The Bad Seed Bundle for $21.59, Guacamelee 2 Complete for $5.74, and The Messenger for $10.
If you’re looking for something on the frightening side, there are several unnerving options. Little Nightmares is just $5, which is an incredible price and perfect timing since the sequel releases later this year. You can also grab a pair of stellar Bloober Team-developed titles, Layers of Fear ($6) and Observer ($9), each of which has a compelling, unsettling story.
