Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza is coming to the Call of Duty: Warzone map

Call of Duty’s midseason update is all about action movies and the heroes that make them great. In the first trailer for the Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War ’80s Action Movie update, we got our first glimpse of John McClane and John Rambo in action.

The trailer itself is styled like a trailer for an ’80s action movie might be. It’s got a cheesy voice-over, lots of film grain, and plenty of action. It’s even got some groan-worthy taglines like “some heroes Die Hard, others draw First Blood” — which, it’s worth noting, is the exact opposite of what actually happens in that latter movie.

The trailer also gives us a preview of some of the changes coming in the patch, including seemingly adding Rambo and McClane as playable operators. It also appears that a few new places are coming to Warzone, like Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza. The iconic skyscraper, which Hans Gruber and his men took hostage in the original movie, looks like it may have been moved to the downtown area on Verdansk ’84.

All of these action hero-themed additions are expected to arrive in Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Mobile on May 20. As for what else the update will include, we’ll have to wait until closer to the event for Treyarch to reveal the entire midseason patch.
