No, Persona 5 Royal, Bloodborne, And More PS4 Games Aren't Coming To PC, Despite Amazon Listings

It’s kind of exciting to hear about PlayStation 4 exclusive games get PC versions, but we’ll have to burst your bubble on the latest wave of speculation. Amazon France listed multiple PS4 games for PC including Persona 5 Royal, Days Gone, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Gran Turismo Sport, and The Last Of Us Part II. But sorry, it’s just not happening.

In a statement issued to GameSpot and many others, Sega/Atlus said, “That listing is an error and we’re looking into having it taken down and how it happened.” As for the first-party games on Amazon France, Sony also told IGN, “The listings are not accurate. We have made no announcements to bring these games to PC.” So, that’s that on that, those games will remain PS4 exclusives.

Sega and Atlus have ported some games to PC in the past, namely the original version of Catherine which hit Steam in early 2019 (eight years after its initial release). Sega, specifically, has been rolling out the Yakuza franchise for PC in recent years with Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2. However, Persona still seems to be the tough case for porting–the core Persona games remain on PlayStation systems while Shin Megami Tensei games and some Persona spinoffs can be found on Nintendo systems.

In 2015, Amazon France listed a PC version of Bloodborne, which of course didn’t happen (or hasn’t happened yet). But to complicate things, Amazon France did show a PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn before the port was confirmed to be in the works last month.

As for P5R itself, well, it’s an incredible game that we’d recommend regardless. In my Persona 5 Royal review, I concluded that it “asserts itself as an unforgettable and empowering RPG that should be recognized as one of the best games of our time.”
