Ahsoka Should’ve Been In Star Wars Battlefront II

It’s no secret that Ahsoka Tano is a huge part of the Star Wars franchise, so why wasn’t she a part of Star Wars Battlefront II?

With the release of Season 7 of The Clone Wars, Ashoka would have been the perfect addition to Battlefront II because she is already on the minds of the fans of the show. Ahsoka is a rather important character in Star Wars, as her character arc expands over all three eras to an extent. Furthermore, her presence helped develop Anakin beyond the whiny guy seen in the movies. Ashoka also helps to bolster the number of female Jedi heroines in the franchise.

On the flip side, there is a lot of discussion against Ashoka in the Star Wars community, as many believe she is simply a “TV Show” character and nothing more. Many dislike Ashoka for the sake of disliking her, and some even argue that she replaced the non-canon apprentice from The Force Unleashed.

The Clone Wars content has also dominated the franchise’s release over the past few years. It is understandable why many Battlefront fans would take issue with the addition of Ashoka. However, it is important to consider just how relevant Ashoka is to the Star Wars franchise itself. If added from her Fulcrum era, Ashoka could even be considered an Original Trilogy character by design. Then she could have two other skins for players to collect, ranging in her styles and abilities. Similarly, Ashoka herself has a fighting style that has the potential to be extremely unique with her dual sabers.

Plus, Ahsoka is no stranger to battle, in particular, she could have a few good catchphrases as she goes into battle. Such as her infamous quote, “How nice of you. Tell you what, I’ll give you a merciful death.” Something to think about.
