Dubai-based tournament organizer Calyx will host the Dune Cup, a Counter-Strike Global Offensive Middle East qualifying event for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. The event will take place online from March 18-20, and is part of BLAST’s expanded qualifiers taking place across 20 countries.
The winning team from each regional qualifying events (including the Dune Cup) will earn a spot in the Spring Showdown taking place April 13 – 18, along with a $25K USD participation fee.
Teams that have been given direct invites to the Dune Cup include Nasr eSports, Divine Vendetta, Yalla eSports, and 01 eSports, and will be joined by two teams from each of the GCC and Levant & North Africa Open Qualifiers hosted by Calyx March 14 -18. These eight teams will fight for the spot to represent the Middle East at the global event.
