With Zer0 in the UK, the Royal Ravens call on 2013 World Champion Parasite.
The London Royal Ravens are seen as one of the teams with the highest dark horse potential in the Call of Duty league this season. They suffered a close 3-2 loss to Paris Legion in the Kickoff Classic, however, one major issue didn’t do them any favors.
Trei “Zer0” Morris is stuck in the UK. With COVID and supposed VISA issues, Zer0 is unable to get to the US, and therefore it would not be reasonable for him to compete. While he did play in the Kickoff Classic, he suffered in respawn game modes, and this was most likely due to his connection. Well, the Royal Ravens have picked up 2013 World Champion Christopher “Parasite” Duarte to fill in Zer0’s spot.
Parasite’s Career
Christopher “Parasite” Duarte is a 2013 World Champion who has played for many different teams, including Fariko Impact and FaZe Clan. Fariko Impact was the home for him between January and April 2013, where he won the first-ever Call of Duty World Championships alongside Karma, KiLLa and MiRx.
Parasite competed in the Pro League all the way until last year, where he wasn’t picked up by a franchise team. However, he competed in Challengers and has been scrimming with the London Royal Ravens for the past few weeks before officially signing today.
The London Royal Ravens kick off their 2021 Call of Duty League season on Sunday, February 14 against the Seattle Surge. With Seattle seemingly at the bottom of the pack ahead of the season, this could be a great start for them as a team.
