G2 Esports, the Spanish esports and entertainment brand, has partnered with non-fungible token solutions provider Bondly in a multi-year exclusive partnership that will see the two develop and launch G2’s NFT strategy and platform. The G2 NFT is set to launch exclusively on the Bondly platform on June 30. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
An NFT is a digital asset such as a picture or video that has a unique identifier embedded inside the digital code of the object that proves the uniqueness of the item that people can buy or trade.
According to G2, a series of NFTs, will be released throughout the year immortalising the “strongest moments” from G2 as digital, ownable assets. These NFTS will be made available to fans who, after purchasing, will own parts of G2’s history. As part of its NFT collection G2 will also have artwork, music, and monumental wins available.
Additionally, Bondly will “gamify” these NFTs with an aim of creating additional value for the G2 fans holding them. There will be opportunity awards for those who collect the piece en masse.
