South Korean captain and support player Park “March” Tae-won goes back to his roots and joins T1, the only organization from his country that fields a Dota 2 competitive team.
However, according to the announcement made by T1 on Twitter, March is once again hanging the mouse and takes the coach position for his new team. He will be replacing Choi “cCarter” Byoung-hoon, who for the past year moved from T1’s League of Legends team to coach the Dota 2 squad.
While T1 struggled to reach the tier one status under cCarter’s guidance, with March, the team is now looking to rebuild and establish a roster able to threaten the strongest competitors in Southeast Asia. For now, the roster is short of one player and are currently not competing in any regional online tournaments. However, March along with Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky are playing with the Among Us stack in the Dota Summit 13 SEA division.
T1 current roster:
- Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
- Samson “Sam_H” Hidalgo
- Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
- Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei
- coach: Park “March” Tae-won
T1 haven’t announced any intentions of rebuilding a full South Korean line-up, but if they intend to make a MVP reunion of sorts, there are a couple of South Korean players still active in the competitive scene and free of contract, such as Kim “Febby” Yong-min, Kim “DuBu” Doo-young and T1 former captain Lee “Forev” Sang-don.
