A three-part event
This event will feature each Gigantamax Pokémon individually, and they will not overlap. Here are the dates for the three Pokémon:
- Pikachu: May 11 – May 18
- Eevee: May 18 – May 25
- Meowth: May 25 – June 2
As with all event raid Pokémon, these creatures will be found in common raid dens (dens with a red beam). Players have a chance to find them in any raid den. After defeating them in a Max Raid Battle, players can try to catch them.
Rare Gigantamax forms
Prior to this event, the only way for you to obtain Gigantamax Pikachu, Meowth, or Eevee was to get them from a Mystery Gift. Pikachu and Eevee were given to those who owned Pokémon Let’s Go: Pikachu or Eevee. Meowth was given to those who bought Sword or Shield before Jan. 15.
So, if you failed to grab one from a Mystery Gift, you can get them through this Wild Area event. Make sure to get one now, though, because there’s no telling if there will be future events that will feature these specific Gigantamax forms. These Pokémon may not be the strongest competitive picks, but they are still worth adding to your collection while they are available.
PIIIIII.

Remember that you need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to participate in online Max Raid Battles. If you don’t have one, you’ll have to take one of these out on your own to have a shot at catching them. You only get one chance to throw a Poké Ball at Pokémon found in Max Raid Battles, so make sure to use the best one you have!
To access these events, make sure to go to “Get Mystery Gift” and update your Wild Area news. Once you do this, the raid dens will update and you will be able to find the event Pokémon.
