Prince of Saudi Arabia is Dota 2 Battle Pass top contributor for three years in a row

The Prince of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is a big Dota 2 fan it seems. He boasts nearly 10,000 hours played and has been The International Battle Pass top contributor in 2018 and 2019.

With the TI10 Battle Pass being released for nearly four days now, the 35-year-old prince is set to keep first place in the Battle Pass leaderboards as he already has got his account to level 14430. So far, the Prince has spent approximately $6000, however in the previous two years he poured a lot more money in the Dota 2 Battle Pass.

His Royal Highness spent in 2018 approximately $42,000 to get his Battle Pass to level 101127, while last year he cut the costs to half and spent about $21,000 reaching level 51354.

According to his DotaBuff profile, the prince is playing in the Legend IV bracket and he is mostly enjoying the support role, contributing in the past with some hero guides for Crystal Maiden, Dazzle, Lina and Skywrath Mage. To prove his passion for the game, the Prince also has a large inventory with some of the rarest cosmetic items, most of them being the incredibly rare and expensive couriers. His Royal Highness shared some screenshots of his Steam profile with some of the couriers purchases saying that, for instance, the Gingerbread Baby Roshan cost him $20,000 and that the courier is “beyond beautiful”. He also shared the price he paid for the Golden Wings of the Manticore, a Skywrath Mage item, which is $25,000.


The TI10 Battle Pass was released this past Monday, and although The International 2020 doesn’t have a date fixed yet due to the worldwide coronavirus situation, the Dota 2 community has already set a new record in terms of prize pool contribution. In just two days, the prize pool preached the 10 million dollars milestone and continues to grow. Last year’s TI prize pool got to $34,330,068.
