Some of the best 1v1 League of Legends players in the world will return once again, competing in this year’s Red Bull Solo Q event. After a successful event which saw more than 80K player signups last year, the best amateurs will take to the Rift once again starting in March.
This year, the Red Bull Solo Q 2021 will see more than 30 national tournaments, 10 international qualifiers, and a global final set to take place at the end of the year. The 2021 Red Bull Solo Q World Final, as it stands, is a planned onsite event scheduled to take place in Germany. However, due to the changing nature of COVID-19 travel and safety restrictions, the location or whether to switch to an online only event are still options.
Alongside the 2021 competition, fans can expect to see special appearances from some of the biggest League of Legends stars including Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere, the global brand ambassador for Red Bull Solo Q 2021. Sjokz has been the face of the competition since 2019 and will be part of selected events throughout the competition.
This year, SteelSeries, producers of gaming and esports peripherals, will be added as the new official Red Bull Solo Q peripheral partner. The company will be providing headsets, keyboards and mice to participating duelists. Additionally, AOC, a gaming monitor manufacturer, will make its return as the Official Monitor Partner for the event.
The first Red Bull Solo Q 2021 International Online Qualifiers are open for registration.
