Hong Kong-based esports organization Talon Esports has partnered with B2B digital media licensing platform ESPAT as its digital media licensing provider. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of the deal, Talon will deliver video and other media assets into ESPAT’s licensing platform to build a content library from its events and activities for editorial and commercial use.
In October, Talon signed a deal with Riot Games Southeast Asia to become an official and exclusive partner for Valorant collegiate and professional esports tournaments in Hong Kong and esports in Taiwan. It also was tapped to operate First Strike, the first official competitive Valorant tournament, in those regions.
Also in October, Talon completed a $2M USD seed financing round led by the Korean Hana Digital Transformation Fund.
