Chinese multinational electronics company TCL Technology Group Corporation (TCL) and Chinese gaming social media network Bixin announced that the two companies have become new sponsors of Chinese esports organization Edward Gaming’s (EDG) League of Legends division. Both companies’ logos will be featured on the right shoulder of the team jersey. TCL will also act as EDG’s strategic partner.
Financial terms of both deals were not disclosed.
In addition, the sponsorship between Bixin and EDG will also affect EDG’s League of the Legends youth team, helping EDG to find talented players from the community, as well as improving engagement between fans and EDG star players. Bixin is the largest social network for gamers in China. It allows players to pay others for play sessions. It has sponsored multiple League of Legends Pro League (LPL) teams such as Royal Never Give-Up (RNG), FunPlus Phoenix (FPX), and Invictus Gaming.
TCL is also one of the 16 sponsors of League of Legends Pro League, acting as the official partner of the league, alongside Lenovo Legion, Wahaha, KFC, War Horse, OPPO, Suning, and voice chat application TT.
Apart from TCL and Bixin, EDG currently has three sponsors, including live streaming platform Penguin Esports, Intel, and Razer.
