Team Vitality adds 'Crownshot' to its LEC roster after a bad start

It feels like centuries have passed since we were in the offseason and we had roster movements almost every day, but now, after three weeks with the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) running, a new addition has been made to one of the participant teams’ roster.

Many fans still remember how surprised they were when they found out that one of the most talented young Carries of the competition was not able to find a team for the 2021 season.

It was the Slovenian player Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, who had debuted in the LEC in the 2019 Spring Split with SK Gaming and spent the whole year 2020 as main Carry of the German team.

Even before the “Free Agency” season ended, all the Carry positions had been filled, even the one in SK Gaming and “Crownshot” was in none of them… until now.

One of the teams that are struggling the most since the beginning of the new Spring Split, is Team Vitality, which has only been able to win one game out of seven, and stands in the last place on the classification board tied with Astralis.

This being the case, it feels “natural” that the French team started looking for reinforcements and was able to find “Crownshot”, who has officially been announced as the new addition to Team Vitality’s roster.

We are adding @CrownshotLoL to our LEC team, effective immediately. ?

We felt a strong voice was needed to lead our team on the Rift and found in Crownshot a good match. He will start in the AD carry position on Friday. #VITWIN pic.twitter.com/sT9szosVZ4

This means that the Greek Carry, Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos, could be replaced, but for now, the French organization has only declared with another tweet the following:

Despite the arrival of Crownshot, we still want to renew our confidence in Comp.

We have no doubt about his potential and he will keep training hard to make things work, therefore being able to offer the coaching staff a possibility to take strategic decisions in the future”
