The best ZRG 20mm loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2

Earlier this week, the ZRG 20mm finally released in both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2. While the weapon shares the same statistics in both titles, a player’s use and design of a loadout for it couldn’t be any different.

In Black Ops Cold War, players tend to run around with the sniper in an aggressive fashion. Quickscoping and aiming in on enemy’s spawns is the name of the game in multiplayer. However, with Warzone, players need to be more conscious of long-range gunfights. This makes the gun’s recommended loadout vary in several different ways.

Best ZRG 20mm loadout in Warzone

Like any other bolt-action sniper rifle, the ZRG 20mm excels at one-shotting enemies at the shoulders and up. This damage output is paired with great range. This ensures that players won’t have much trouble downing enemies at any distance.

However, there are several drawbacks with the ZRG 20mm that players need to be aware of. First, its fire rate is the lowest in Warzone, meaning it takes an eternity to fire consecutive shots. If that wasn’t enough, the ZRG also features glacial ADS and sprint-to-fire times. So for any quickscopers, this sniper is going to be a nightmare in its base form.

Luckily, there’s a loadout that helps strengthen the ZRG’s weaknesses to the point where it becomes a viable weapon in Warzone Season 2.

  • Muzzle: Task Force Shroud
  • Barrel: 49.3″ Combat Recon
  • Ammunition: 5 RND
  • Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
  • Rear Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap

To start off the loadout, the Task Force Shroud is in place to increase the ZRG’s bullet velocity. This stat is further improved with the 49.3″ Combat Recon barrel. This ensures that the sniper is delivering its bullets to enemies as quickly as possible.

Aside from increasing bullet velocity, the 5 RND magazine is equipped to get rid of the base three bullets. Players will definitely need more than three shots in a magazine in Warzone.

Next, the Bruiser Grip helps with general speed on the map. And, the Airborne Elastic Wrap improves the slow ADS time significantly. However, the sprint-to-fire time is negatively affected with this attachment, so it’s best not tp try quickscoping with this loadout.
