Amazon will leverage its streaming deal with the Premier League to air live matches on Twitch beginning June 29. Four matches will be streamed to U.K. Twitch users, and will also be made available on Amazon’s Prime Video service.
Amazon signed a three-year U.K. streaming rights deal with the Premier League in 2018 and has previously streamed matches to Prime Video, but this will be the first time Twitch has done so.
Twitch has previously broadcast other sports content, including several Thursday Night Football games which featured popular streamers such as Tim “Timthetatman” Betar and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins as commentators.
The Premier League resumed its season on June 17, following a 100-day break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
