Valorant disables Omen due to game-breaking bug

Riot Games has officially disabled Omen from Valorant while they investigate a game-breaking bug. The bug in question allows Omen to abuse his Shadow Walk ability. Here’s everything you need to know about the bug and when the Agent will return.

The bug affecting Omen

The bug in question allows Omen to use his Shadow Walk to teleport through spawn barriers. The spawn barriers go up at the beginning of each round and drop when the round officially starts. They exist to prevent players from getting an unfair position on their opponents before the round starts.

Due to this bug, Omen players can get through these spawn barriers and get important intel on their opponents. Need to know where opponents are hanging out or hiding? Have Omen teleport through the spawn barrier and check it out. Since this obviously gives Omen players an unfair advantage, Riot is investigating the issue and trying to find a solution.

Riot is disabling the Agent until they find a fix

Since Riot doesn’t know what is causing the issue, they are disabling Omen until they find a solution. This means that players will not be able to choose him in unrated or rated games until Riot resolves the issue.

Omen players should expect to see him back in action sometime either today or tomorrow. The Valorant team detected the issue and disabled him last night late last night and hopes to have the Agent back up as soon as they diagnose and fix the problem. As of right now, he remains disabled until further notice.

Make sure always to report bugs if you find them so the team can detect and fix them as soon as possible. Also, be sure to stay up to date on all the latest Valorant news and stories including when Omen might be back.
