Injustice 3 Reveal Might Not Be Too Far Away, Following Comic Book Teases

Comic book writer Tom Taylor has been teasing the return of the Injustice series of comic books, meaning an Injustice 3 reveal could also be on the cards. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, which is also known for the Mortal Kombat series, the previous Injustice game was released back in 2017.

Taylor penned much of the Injustice comic book run and recently took to Twitter with images of the letters I and N along with quotes from the comics. It doesn’t take the world’s greatest detective to figure out that a third run of Injustice comics might be in the works, which has inevitably led to speculation that Injustice 3 isn’t too far behind.

The previous two runs of Injustice comics were both prequels that set up the events of their respective games. Unless DC Comics has decided to split the Injustice comic from its video game counterpart, we could hear some Injustice 3 game news soon.

Back in June, NetherRealm posted a job listing looking for someone to bring Injustice and Mortal Kombat to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The studio has been alternating between the two series ever since the first Injustice: Gods Among Us launched in 2013. The studio’s latest release, Mortal Kombat 11, was released last year.

Warner Bros. Games handles production of the series and is set to bring its own announcements to the DC FanDome Event on August 22.
