The Shai class will be available in Black Desert Mobile on March 23, announced Pearl Abyss early this week. Pre-creation begins on March 16 ahead of her official launch, letting you customize the new character and get a jump start on the action.
“Shai is a small, but mighty character hailing from the forests of Florin,” wrote Pearl Abyss. “Her mixed combat style uses her boomerang to deter foes at distance while supporting her allies with various buffs and healing spells. Equipped with the boomerang Florang and the orb-shaped lantern Vitclari, she’s a versatile fighter who can fend for herself and guide her comrades to victory.”

If you’d rather not wait a few weeks for new content, Pearl Abyss has you covered. As of March 2, you’ll now find a new PvP mode called Battlefield of the Sun in Black Desert Mobile. This new game mode is based on the war between Valencia and Calpheon, which will see you choosing sides and setting off on 30 vs 30 battles.
There’s also an upcoming Black Desert Mobile Ramoness tournament starting up on March 16, which pits two teams of three against each other in tense, small-scale combat.
While it’s business as usual for the mobile version of Black Desert, its older PC sibling recently saw a massive server migration. No longer hosted by Kakao Games, Pearl Abyss assumed responsibility for the North American and European servers last month – marking a big shift in the game’s development. To celebrate the event, Pearl Abyss was offering up some impressive gifts such as free Cron Stones and daily login rewards.
If you happen to play BDO on PC, make sure to transfer your account before May 31. Otherwise, your entire account and years of progress will be deleted.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for Shai pre-creation to go live, followed by her full arrival on March 23.
