With time running out to complete the Season 4 Battle Pass, Activision is launching a new Call of Duty update in Cold War and Warzone to give gamers a helping hand.
Starting on Friday, July 30 and lasting until August 2, COD fans will be able to earn Double Weapon XP and discounted Battle Pass Tiers across both platforms.
The event starts at 6pm BST on Friday and will run until the same period on August 2 across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
This will give players a chance to unlock cheaper Battle Pass Tiers if they are close to completing what they need but aren’t sure they’ll achieve it by grinding over the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, it will also give COD fans a chance at unlocking new weapons and levelling them up so they can build their perfect loadout.
But before this goes live, both Call of Duty games will be updated with refreshed playlists and content.
Cold War looks to be getting the most new stuff, with a new Gunfight Tournament, and Collateral Combined Arms 24/7, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only playlist going live.
The new patch is expected to go live on Thursday, July 29, with Activision telling COD fans this week:
“Treyarch’s latest Gunfight Tournament kicks off on July 29 with new and exclusive in-game rewards to win by completing all four rounds of competition.
“Next, the Season Four fan-favorite Collateral Combined Arms 24/7 returns this week, featuring Black Ops Cold War’s biggest 12v12 arena packed with Dirt Bikes, FAVs, and a fully-loaded Hind helicopter to commandeer across a mix of intense Combined Arms modes.

“If you’re looking to get those Dark Ops Challenges mastered, then this is the mode for you.
“Also, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only replaces Gunfight Blueprints this week for sharpshooter Trios looking to go head-to-head with randomized sniper Loadouts.
“And starting July 30 through August 2, get Double Weapon XP and discounted Battle Pass Tiers all weekend long in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.”
Changes being made in Warzone are expected to be pretty light, with Payload expected to be replaced by a refreshed list of modes.
And Activision has also confirmed that on the same day the new Call of Duty patch goes live, they will be hosting the final stages of the Community Warzone Invitational.
The four-event series features up-and-coming Warzone talent, with each event featuring a $10,000 prize, and can be watched on the eFuse Twitch Channel.
