Call Of Duty: Cold War Multiplayer Free From Feb. 25 To Mar. 4

To celebrate the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2, Activision is offering free-to-play Cold War’s multiplayer and outbreak modes for the next week. Free access begins at 10 am PT (6 pm GMT) on February 25 and goes on until 10 am PT (6 pm GMT) on March 4.

According to Activision, “This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the next generation of global combat if you have yet to own Black Ops Cold War, as this Free Access Week serves up some of the new maps, modes, weapons, and more that will be released at the launch of Season Two.”

The free modes include Cold War’s new Zombies large-scale mode Outbreak, a squad-based Zombies experience set in massive play spaces throughout the Ural Mountains, in which players battle hordes of zombies and complete objectives in an open-world area that features locations from the Fireteam modes from Multiplayer.

The launch of Season 2 and the free access week coincides with the arrival of the Apocalypse 24/7 playlist, which drops a number of game modes on the Apocalypse map, including Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint modes, as well as Black Ops Cold War’s 40-player multi-team Multiplayer experience.

Gun Game is also getting a Cold War debut with players alternating between a set of 20 pre-determined weapons in a free-for-all format. In addition, players can enjoy other multiplayer modes available for free, like Gunfight Blueprints and Face Off. Players who defeat enough Elite enemies will earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Chalices, along with exclusive* Weapon Blueprints to use across other online game modes.

All players can also earn both Double XP and Double Weapon XP in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone from February 26 at 10AM PT until March 1 at 10 AM PT, a great opportunity to get a head start on the road to Season Two Prestige Master and maxing out the new FARA 83 and LC10 weapons available in the Season Two Battle Pass System. All progress from free access carries over to the full game upon purchase.
