Developers Raven Software has released a new Call of Duty Warzone update following this week’s chunky Season 2 Reloaded launch.

The latest map change includes the Zombies threat migrating to a new area Verdansk, which should have happened for all players.

This means that Zombies can now be found roaming around the TV Station, which makes it the furthest north the plague has spread.

Raven Software has also shared that the Zombies at this location are a little different, as they offer resistance to bullets in certain areas.

The latest Call of Duty blogpost adds: “Although the majority of BCH4 employees evacuated Verdansk hours before the start of Operation Rapid Sunder, as evidenced by intel gathered by elite Armistice Operators, a skeleton crew remained within the region to update displaced civilians across Kastovia.

“This presence of contamination is in addition to an overall breach of the station by currently affected hostile forces, who overran the area following an advancement from the Acropolis National Bank.

“Threats within the TV Station range from those exhibiting “normal” symptoms to variants that were first spotted within the Vodianoy Shipwreck (noxious fumes) and Verdansk Hospital (electromagnetic pulse-like discharges).

“Furthermore, Operators have reported the presence of a new variant that causes threats to exhibit unusually strong resistance to ballistics across their anterior, which went against our known intel for the previous breach at the Acropolis National Bank.”

The other thing to note is that the containment levels have also gone from 5% to 33%, meaning we’re getting closer to the Season 2 end event.

Gamers were probably hoping for a little more than just the same Zombies threat plopping down on a different area of the map, but it looks like other big plans are afoot.

Call of Duty Warzone: Activision release trailer for new game

A playlist update has also been released for Call of Duty Warzone, and includes the following changes:

Adding:

  • Verdansk – King Slayer
  • Plunder – Trios

Removing:

  • Plunder – Blood Money Quads
  • Rebirth Island – Resurgence Quads

Resurgence Duos remains in rotation alongside the normal Battle Royale Solos and Quads options.

Raven Software has also announced that they are removing the minigun variant of the helicopter from Warzone due to a new issue allowing players to become invisible.

This sounds much like the same issues that first plagued the vehicle when it was first introduced. Meanwhile, Treyarch has released early patch notes for next week’s Black Ops Cold War update.

Season 2 gamers will see these new features arrive next week on PS4, Xbox One and PC:

  • The launch of Gunsmith Customs, allowing players to create, name, and save their own custom Blueprints by mixing and matching attachments from Blueprints of the same weapon type.
