This week’s freebie isn’t Grand Theft Auto V-level popular–after all, GTA V has sold more than 130 million copies–but it’s still a big one. Until May 28 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, you can snag Firaxis’ wonderful turn-based strategy game Civilization VI free of charge. All you need to do to claim Civilization VI is create a free Epic account and turn on two-factor authentication.
Like Grand Theft Auto V, Civilization VI was a mystery freebie leading up to the unlock time. We’re learning that Epic’s mystery freebies, which are only running during the Mega Sale, tend to be huge AAA hits. Typically, we learn the next Epic Games Store freebie a week in advance. Civilization VI originally released in 2016 to critical acclaim.
