In a Facebook post today, En Masse Entertainment revealed that the company is shutting down. En Masse found some enthusiasm and success in the western market with games like Tera and Closers, but the company is beginning the process of closing down operations.
Tera has been around for a long time, and originally garnered praise for its interesting approach to action combat in an MMO, and Game Informer had positive things to share about its launch way back in 2012.
Despite low game populations in recent years, both Tera and Closers had engaged communities at one point, and the statement from En Masse goes out of its way to share that “support for those titles will continue.”
All our best to the team at En Masse as they look for new opportunities for employment.
