December is just around the corner and we are gearing up for perhaps the biggest awards show in the biz. Every year The Game Awards not only bestows accolades to the best and the brightest among the game launches in the year, but also comes with major news and announcements. This year will be no different and it's now been confirmed that we can expect to see Final Fantasy 16 come December 8.
The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley announced it via his Twitter account. Final Fantasy fans can expect to see Square Enix veteran and Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida at the show, which will be streamed live from Los Angeles.
While it's been kept (not so closely) under wraps, with rumours basically making it fairly well known that something Final Fantasy 16 related would appear, this confirmation readies the audience to expect some big things.
It's expected that Final Fantasy 16 will show off a new trailer during The Game Awards and that pre-orders will go live. It's been hinted that the pre-orders may go live even before the show begins.
It all lines up as Square Enix gears up for the release of a major new entry in one of its signature series. In other news it was today reported that Final Fantasy 16 has now been rated in Brazil adding up more evidence that the game is readying for a release date reveal.
Fans will have eyes on the dates of December 7 and 8, as The Game Awards begin next Thursday, for when more information regarding Final Fantasy 16 is very likely to appear.
