Fortnite season 6 has launched today, kicking off with the spectacular Zero Crisis Finale event. But that’s just scratching the surface of what this new Battle Pass brings to the table, with Fortnite season 6 boasting a new Primal theme. As the name suggests, this theme means Fortnite season 6 is drawing on a more primitive era of the hunter gatherer times.

The Fortnite season 6 Battle Pass trailer showcased characters wielding crossbows instead of guns, wearing hunter-style garbs and also showcased an updated map.

The Island now features overgrown areas, and will also have wildlife roaming it such as wolves and chickens.

Prey can be hunted or tamed, and Epic Games teased that while wolves may roam the Fortnite map currently ‘the most fearsome predators have yet to hatch’.

In keeping with this new theme tonnes of new POIs have been added to the Fortnite season 6 map – including the new The Spire location.

Fortnite tease Chapter two Season six

Describing this new POI Epic Games said: “Untouched by modern technology, a primal biome spreads through The Island.

“At its centre is The Spire and the village that surrounds it. Lurking in the shadow of The Spire, the wilderness has taken over The Island’s locations, like Colossal Crops and Boney Burbs.

“If you venture to the edges of the primal biome you’ll find Guardian spires protected by mysterious forces.”

Earlier today while Fortnite downtime for season 6 was taking place leaker @VastBlastt leaked the Fortnite season 6 map – as well as names for POIs.

Here are details on the new Fortnite season 6 POIs…

Guardian of the Sea, Guardian of the Fields, Guardian of the Bay, The Spire, Guardian of the Mountains, Guardian of the Woods, Primal Pond, Boney Burbs and Guardian of the Lake.

The events of Fortnite season 6 take place in the aftermath of the Fortnite Zero Crisis Finale event.

This live event kicked off Fortnite season 6. Here’s what Epic Games had to say about the Zero Crisis Finale – but don’t read any further if you don’t want any spoilers!

“During the Zero Crisis Finale, Agent Jones and The Foundation (one of The Seven) sealed the Zero Point in a tower of stone. As the Zero Point was being contained, it sent a mysterious pulse across The Island, erasing any advanced technology in its path and reshaping the landscape of The Island.”
