The latest free title that people can claim on the Epic Games Store is Gone Home, which is a game that was beloved by critics but got a somewhat polarizing response from others.
Gone Home is a first-person exploration game, where the player searches a house and finds clues and notes as to what happened to its residents. To say any more would be to spoil the story. Gone Home was polarizing due to its short length and the description of it being a “walking simulator,” where nothing of substance happens from a gameplay standpoint, as the player just searches the house throughout the runtime of the game.
The people who want to experience Gone Home on PC can now do so without charge, as the game is free on the Epic Game Store until April 9. Free might be the perfect price for Gone Home at this point, as it’s well worth experiencing, but players might notice its flaws more if they paid money for it. It’s hard to complain about a game’s short length when it doesn’t cost any money to play.
