Bastion got pulled from Overwatch 2 entirely over an ultimate bug where you could spam his artillery strike as much as possible in its eight-second window, but now players are calling on Blizzard to vault Sombra as well amidst a new payload bug. It turns out that you can teleport underneath, get inside, and hitch a ride while still shooting enemies.
As you're inside the payload and not on top or underneath, it serves as armour, meaning the enemy team can't fire back at you. Essentially, you lock yourself inside the payload for protective armour and drive it like a tank to the finishing line, all while generating ult for quick mass hacks.
One player called out Savvy for providing a tutorial on how to pull the glitch off, but they replied, "If everyone does it she will be removed from [competitive] for a couple weeks its worth". Luckily, as others point out, there might be some workarounds if you do end up against a Sombra using this exploit. Hanzo's dragon ult, for example, would likely pierce the armour of the payload and kill her.
This used to be a bug in the first Overwatch with heroes like Tracer being able to worm their way into the payload, but it was eventually patched out. Given that it's an environmental bug and not a hero one, it's unclear if Sombra would actually be removed to patch it. If she can pull it off, other heroes might be able to find their own way in as well.
Regardless, being able to use a bug like this in the game doesn't mean you should. If you get reported and caught out, you'll likely get hit with a ban. But you can always try it out for yourself in custom games away from prying eyes and random online players.
It's not the only bug out in the wild, either, though the other isn't exploitable. Cassidy's Deadeye ult reportedly isn't doing any damage for some players, which is a little less useful than riding the payload to victory.
