Two new Legendary Pokémon are coming to Pokémon Go: Xerneas and Yveltal. Both Pokémon hail from the Kalos region and will make their debut in Pokémon Go five-star raids — Xerneas will be first, starting on May 4.
Xerneas (aka the Life Pokémon) will be released as part of Pokémon Go’s Luminous Legends X event, which will also bring Spritzee, Swirlix, and Goomy to the Pokémon mobile game. Niantic will also release a new item, the Rainy Lure Module, which will attract Water-, Bug-, and Electric-type Pokémon, and can be used to evolve Sliggoo (the evolution of Goomy) into Goodra. Sliggoo can also be evolved when the in-game weather is rainy.
The Luminous Legends X event will run from May 4 at 10 a.m. to May 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Pokémon Go players starved for Dragon-type Pokémon will also find Dratini and Bagon more often in the wild during the event. Similarly, Dragonite and Salamence will be able to learn certain attacks through evolution or a Charged TM during this event: Draco Meteor and Outrage, respectively.
Yveltal will make its Pokémon Go debut during the Luminous Legends Y event, which is “coming soon,” Niantic said on the game’s website, which has more detail about upcoming events and Pokémon releases.
