PS Plus June 2020 free PS4 games LEAK: A spectacular return to form for PlayStation Plus?

The PlayStation Plus free PS4 games for June 2020 may have leaked early.

After a disappointing month of free PS Plus games in May, subscribers could be in for something special in June.

According to an alleged leak that’s surfaced on YouTube, the June 2020 free PS4 games could include Doom and Dead Cells.

The leaked games line-up was allegedly posted on the PlayStation Access YouTube channel, but has since been removed.

While it would represent a true return to form for PS Plus, not everybody is convinced the leak is genuine.

Indeed, industry insider Wario64 believes that the leak is a fake, and that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up.

As you can see from the Twitter exchange below, Wario64 points out the poor image quality, and the random (and now private) YouTube ID.

Whether the leak is genuine or not, here’s hoping the June 2020 free PS4 games are better than the May line-up.

Doom and Dead Cells would certainly fit the bill, earning respective scores of 85% and 87% on Metacritic.

“DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience,” reads the official description.

“Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.”

Dead Cells, on the other hand, is a highly rated 2D platformer with silky smooth action and rogue-like elements.

“Dead Cells puts you in control of a failed alchemic experiment trying to figure out what’s happening on a sprawling, ever-changing and seemingly cursed Island,” reads the official description.

“Immortal but crippled, your last resort is to take over bodies in order to move, explore… and fight.

“While you may well be immortal, the corpses you possess are not. Each time your host is destroyed, you will be sent back to the dungeon to find yourself a new one and start again…”

In the meantime, PS Plus subscribers can download the May 2020 line-up, which includes Cities Skylines and Farming Simulator 19.

Similar to games like SimCity, Cities Skylines lets players build and manage their dream cities.

Scoring a respectable 81% on Metacritic, it’s undoubtedly the pick of the month, even if it wasn’t particularly well received by subscribers.

Then there’s Farming Simulator 19, which gives players the opportunity to manage their own plot of land.

The game hasn’t fared to well on Metacritic, but it is something of a cult hit among gaming fans.
